This is a clip from Dons P47 we used a POV camera from VIO we mounted the camera to the tail & put the recorder in the fuselage, you can see the duct tape holding the cable to the right side of the aircraft, then we put the camera on the landing gear of Bobs Ugly Stick when he lands the gear snaps off & scuffs up the camera. The flights were flown at The Tomcats field in Morgan Hill, CA. www.sccmas.org RC airplane crash in-flight video camera P-47 Ugly Stick SCCMAS Morgan Hill wcolby1 wcolby...

This is a POV / VIO camera that records on the device that is duct taped to the airplane. There is no transmitter on this camera.

@jaydotosh there was not enough fuel, so he had to get the plane down in some way. o.O

That is REALLY common on YouTube but you are the first one I’ve ever encountered that admits it. Personally I never even look at my video’s hit counts, I could not care less … but I guess I’m the odd one YouTube.
Regarding seeing videos of planes crashing, no thanks, I’d rather not, I’m more interested in inflight model video, that’s what brought me to this particular video. But thanks for the offer all the same.
Again, nice footage. Take care.

I measure my self worth by the number of hits my videos get. I have a video titled “airplanes landing safely” & it has less than 200 hits. I posted a reply video that should satisfy your need to see crashes, I also have real airplanes crashing & helicopters on fire & people being shot if you want to see that too.

I’m glad nobody crashed in this video. But it begs the question; Why did you put “RC airplane crash” in the video title???? Just to get more views for some reason? A landing gear failure on landing is not exactly the same thing as a crash. Would you tell that pilot “hey, you crashed your plane” just because his landing gear failed?
Nice footage though … just misleading title.

the pilots doesn’t know how to fly!
1. Too less flaps
2. Power seems to be above 25%
3 He “forces” the plane to land (in other words, he nosedives into the runway and expecs it to land)!!!
