    There are only 2 flying Razorback P-47 Thunderbolts out of 9 airworthy examples existing. They are Curtiss built P-47Gs which were only used domestically for training and never saw combat. One is owned by Planes of Fame in Chino, CA the other by The Imperial War Museum in Duxford, England. The latter is being extensively rebuilt.

    @NoMoreAmerica
    Jtec for G-62 I had to mount the engine a few degrees from straight up and down to get it to fit without hacking the cowling up. But it works fine.

    @claytonjester
    If you fly it all of the time like i do, the are hard to keep on but they do look more scale.

    i am building the 60 size kit, and using robart 606 retracts, i noticed you didnt have the shaped wooden side things that go on the retracts, is it really worth it to cut that out or do most people just put that on if they are using fixed gear. im thinking about just having the wire showing

    I have an os 120 pumped engine in mine and it flys great. I flew a friends Topflite P-51 .60 size with an os 91 and it needed more power. I would reccomend using a 120 especially if you are using retracts.

    what about all silver with only the A/F insignia on it and tell everybody it’s the XP-47? That would be sweet and different.

    There were Razor backs all the way into the early D models… I dont know if there are any of the Bs left. The more the merrier I say!

    Is that a 63″ span? I just started building the Top Flite Gold Edition 63″, and I am looking for some ideas for a scale project. Any ideas of how to go about it? I have the “Hun Hunter” in mind.

    Are there any actual B-series P-47′s left? I would hate for models to be the only thing left for razorback planes…

    I really like that color scheme on the T-Bolt.I have the 60 size version with the same pattern and starting to build the giant scale the same.I’ve had most of the TOP FLITE warbird kits over the years and they all fly very docile with no bad habits.Nice job!Keep ‘em flyin!!!
